In an ever-changing labour market, it is more important than ever to be visible, attractive and distinctive. With our employer brand ‘The strength of VDL’, we show who we are as an organisation to attract new talent and retain current colleagues. The strength of VDL is in our DNA and makes us true VDL employees. This is reflected in everything we do.

Our employer story
At VDL Groep, I feel that I am part of a close-knit family culture that is full of drive! With more than 100 innovative development and manufacturing companies and around 15,000 colleagues, we are now quite a large family. A family in which everyone's qualities are utilised, we learn from each other and where I can continue to develop. This is how we achieve the best results together. We call it strength through cooperation.
What also connects us is our affinity for technical progress. I am proud of the cool products we develop and produce. We invent and make things they can't make better anywhere else. That's because we continually ask ourselves how something can be even smarter or more sustainable. The latter of which in particular I find to be increasingly important. We are real go-getters: when we see an opportunity that will benefit the company and the future, we seize it with both hands. The same goes for my own future, by the way. I feel and I am given the space to shape my own work and development. When I see a great opportunity, I go for it.
Or rather, we go for it. Because 'together' is at the core of VDL's strength. My colleagues and I like to go the extra mile for each other when necessary. We show interest in each other and dare to speak up. With humour when possible, direct and clear when necessary. Yes, really making something of it together! That’s typically VDL.
